Heart Beat

A heart that beats faster,

When looking into those eyes,

A smile that generates a smile,

As they walk by,

Legs go week,

From the sound of a name,

For love is the name of the game,

The Grass is Green

To open the gate to enter a pasture,

To the grass that is green,

The sweet fragrance of the meadow flowers,

The aroma so enchanting,

Like a bee drawn to a honey trap,

Life changing there after.....

Thoughts of Grains of Sand

Thoughts deep within the mind,

Clog's turning,

A momentum of time,

Grains of sand drop,

Through the hands,

As they grace the face of the dial,

As the sun rises,

Casting shadows across the land,

All that remains are the memories past,

At this present moment in the mind,

Write The Pages

I have no book,

To my name,

But write the pages,

Of the pain,

For love and joy,

Memories before,

The heart of a broken man,

Was born,

For a new dawn rose,

A new way shown,

On a path

A journey began,

A Letter To A Word

Another letter to a word,

A word to a sentence,

A paragraph emerged,

A written letter,

Sent afar,

A missile fired at a target,

The centre was a heart,

For the letter was intended,

To say how special you really are ....

Naked

Stood naked,

Like a tree with no leaves,

Cold wind biting the limbs,

The branches stretching out free,

Planted firm,

Deep rooted,

Grounded for all to see,

Waiting for the warmth of summer rays,

The joy of warmer days,

Heralds the blossom,

Where trees will bear fruit,

Leaves can sing to thee,

In the gentle breeze .......

Tattooes in a Mind

To read the lines of another poet,

It stirred emotions within deep,

To hit a cord,

Not like before,

Really made me think,

To capture the feelings with pen and ink,

On a page in verse and rhyme,

A poem that will last,

For the rest of time,

For the words,

Are still there,

Tattooed in my mind,
