Messages in the sand,

Seen on a stroll on the beach,

Before being erased by the sea,

A sign,

Two halves combined,

A dualism of forces,

Natures balance of light and dark,

Two halves united to make wholeness,

Finding balance in a confusing world,

Is being at peace with oneself......

 

Bulrushes of the Day

Why rush the day away,

Strolling around the wetlands,

On a summers day,

With ducks and swans on the lake,

Drifting with the breeze in a relaxing way,

A kingfisher darts from place to place, 

Betrayed by a streak of blue,

Bulrushes sway with the rhythm of a clock,

The hours pass by,

Tick tock !

This day will soon be a memory,

For soon it will be tomorrow......

 

The Garden

Sat in a garden in the midday sun,

Mad dogs barking as they try to run,

Cream tea on the table,

A spoon in the jam,

Tea stewing in a tea pot,

As birds sing all around,

The ambiance of the garden,

The scent of the flowers,

As a bubble bee at work,

The hour passes by,

Birds are singing the afternoon song,

Chilled and relaxed in a place that is home...

Portfolio of Art,

A New Day, A New Venture, A New Path,

Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained so they say,

Over the years art has been my meditation a focus point to assist me on my journey through those dark days.

I guess it was a surprise to my closest friends and family when shown my art work as I had not drawn or painted since I was a youngster. 

Through their counsel the artwork has been printed. Now to market the prints and sell them.

The artwork is presented in 16 x 12 white picture mounts sealed in clear polybags.

Now to find a suitable market place to sell them.

The journey continues....................

 

A Natures Trail

Camouflaged in a field of green,

Hidden, hard to be seen,

Listening by the ear,

The messages carried on the air,

Crows fly high up above,

Fighting in the sky way up high,

As a buzzard soars and drifts on a breeze,

Between cotton wool clouds in a sky of blue,

A pheasant strolls on by hidden by the wheat and out of sight,

The rabbit darts as fast as it can only seen by its white tail,

The country is full of life when walking on a nature trail...

 

One's Personnel Journey

Seconds pass,

A minute goes,

The hour hand turns,

A day gone before we know,

The paths of life the impressions left,

The imprints fade on the path we take,

Grains of sand worn away on the paths of yesterday,

The memories stay,

Of years gone by,

One's personnel journey, 

Until it is time to say goodbye,

Rainbow

Searching for that pot of gold,

Following the sign in the sky,

A multi-coloured guiding light,

A rainbow that keeps on moving,

The joy it brings with the hope of luck,

Good fortune to those that find the end,

That secret hiding spot.....
