Flames of Desire

To dance amongst the flames of desire,

The desire keeping that flame on fire,

An uncontrollable heat,

Burning passion,

Alight drawing the moth,

Attracted and drawn in,

The illusions of dancing shadows,

The flames dancing bright,

Only to bring heart break,

To extinguish life,

As the fire dies out,

An ambering glow burning the soul,

Craving a flame to ignite again,

Soul Mate

Lost,

Looking into those eyes,

Drawn in to see what lies within,

Swimming in the deepest blue,

Diving deep the further one goes,

Searching for that soul to connect,

Divine intervention or divine timing at hand,

Can one become two?

For what you are seeking will be seeking you,

Is that soul mate you?

Hunters Moon

To hear you but not to see you,

Hidden out of sight,

In the depths of darkness,

In the black of the night,

A full moon's glow,

Illusions of shadows, 

A trick of sight,

Hunting high in the sky,

Blending with the stars, 

As they shine,

Rivers Zest

Words flow like a rivers zest,

Taking a course a destination ahead,

Flowing swiftly the ink from the nib,

Letters form words,

A sentenced is birthed,

A story unfolds as the chapters do grow,

The author creates the story of a life that he knows,

Sometimes silent but his actions do show,

To bring joy and a smile to those that laugh at the jokes,

A Silent Voice

If a verse was written,

A poem in rhyme,

Could it grab a reader's attention?

Would they spend the time?

To take note of the words,

Transcribed to the page,

Of emotions conjured from within deep,

From a person who found it hard to speak,

A silent voice,

With so much to say,

Of love, joy and heartbreak,

Of someone who lost their way,

A voice that is not heard above the crowd,

Of poems and verses that have passed which have not be observed,

Maybe one day,

A verse will touch a reader's nerve,

That poem will relate to where the reader had once been,

A place, a face, that moment in time,

That tear stained scar left from memories left far behind,

 

Actions Speak Louder Then Words

A Fork in the Road

A fork in the road,

No direction foretold,

Which way to go,

Standing waiting for a sign,

A fool on a journey,

No map at hand,

An outcome unknown,

No time to waste

A leap of faith,

Away one goes,

On a journey unknown,

The Garden Shed

Under the arch to the garden shed,

A place to go at the end of the day,

To relax an unwind,

As the day closes to the end,

To reflex on the things that matter to you,

Enjoying the ambiance as the sun goes down,

As the gardens scent is all around,
