Unchain the shackles from my heart, 

Release me from this cell, 

Set my mind free, 

Free me from the burden that heavily tortured me, 

Help me to stand tall with a smile and dignity, 

Let me smile endlessly, 

Comfort me when I fall and help me to my feet, 

Guide me on my way, 

Be there when I stray, 

Praise me every day, 

Ignite my passion and help me shine, 

As an honorable man, 

Glowing light for all to see, 

Charming and friendly, 

Help me make friends easily, 

Socially to be adored, 

Keep me honest and true to me, 

Principles and sincerity, 

Proud and honorable as this man should be, 

Just let me be free.

It’s a beautiful morning, 

In its glory, 

Another day, 

Another story, 

A priceless gift, 

I exist, 

As I go forward to explore, 

Watching as the story unfolds in front of me, 

Capturing every minute is so precious, 

To forge new memories, 

In a state of empathy as I understand the man I used to be, 

The man who lost identity, 

Free now to walk this world unconditionally, 

Unchained from demands of yesterday, 

Set free, 

To be what I want to be, 

Off I go prepared to re-enter the game let the pages be written, 

Let the chapter begin, 

As I stumble through the valley to my destiny’s end

Clouds in the sky drift on by, 

As time slowly goes forward, 

Life goes on as I sit and watch, 

Sedated in this moment, 

Soaring birds swoop on by, 

Safe in sanctuary as the world passes by, 

Not prepared to play the game, 

Only prepared to watch, 

Daydreaming, 

In deep thought on how to go forward, 

Patiently waiting to see what destiny has in store for me, 

A twist of fate and a bit of luck, 

Help me on the way.

As I stand and repair, 

My life that was in despair, 

Fixing my body and soul, 

Learning from the lessons been taught, 

Starting over again in the game, 

Playing my part on the stage, 

Letting the universe dictate my way, 

On a path going forward I will go, 

The future that I don’t know, 

Steadily starts to unfold, 

Filling chapters of my life with the days I have left, 

Memories of days gone by no longer make me cry, 

Memories new make me smile, 

Friends of old and friends made new stand by me as I go.

Words to express my feelings, 

Flow freely from my mouth, 

Never been unspoken but they need to come out, 

Did not see this coming, 

What’s it all about, 

Lions heart beating, 

Adrenaline kicking in, 

Need to find my pride so my life can start again, 

Remember you done your best, 

Life goes on again, 

Have faith in the future, 

Speak the truth freely,

Say it as it is, 

Don’t fight against the current, 

Go freely with the flow, 

Let the river take you into the unknown, 

Make a twist and turns memorable, 

Learning as you go, 

Don’t be afraid to fail, 

That’s what life is about, 

Don’t take it to heart, 

It’s not worth the pain, 

Don’t worry about the years in your life, 

It’s the life in your years that count, 

So live it to it’s full, 

Write freely with your pen, 

Make sure you write it down, 

Be proud when you read it over and over again,  

Don’t let anyone tell you what you should do with your life, 

You don’t know what the future holds, 

Don’t think about the past, 

Just live for this moment, 

Make sure it’s a laugh, 

Make sure you understand, 

That you are unique, 

Don’t let anyone ever run you down, 

Always remember how precious your life is.

Express it in every way, 

The colour, 

The smell and even the taste, 

The good the bad, 

The times you had, 

Memories you want to stay, 

Laughing and singing, 

The smiles which were given as you go on your way.
