Illusions In The Dreams

Illusions in the dreams,

What do they mean,

Flying to the moon,

Dodging stars,

Then back again,

Like a comet with a tail,

Leaving a trial,

Of where you have been,

 

Drowning in Dreams

Drowning in dreams,

When one sleeps,

Hoping one day,

The dreams come true,

Before we wake,

Dreaming of a New Day

Dreaming of a new day,

When a day becomes yesterday,

To put the memories made,

In the past,

To start over on a new path,

Dawn of the sun a new day  has begun,

A chorus of birds,

Announce it's birth,

With the rising of the sun,

Time

Healing hands on a dial,

Counting seconds as we grow,

Lessons learnt, 

Forward one goes,

Memories made of special days,

A chosen path,

Destination unknown,

Rocky roads lead to pastures green,

Sunny days follow those rainbows,

From the yesterday that we know,

Time is a healer,

With strength from within,

So live every moment,

With the hands as they spin,

 

Shadows of a Tree

The shadows of the tree,

Reaching out,

Throughout the day,

Changing direction when the sun has its way,

Branches naked and bare,

After the fall,

But if the sun shines,

The shadows show on the floor,

So many stories,

The shadows could tell,

Of shadows created,

During the seasons spells,

Of shadows dormant on a woodland floor,

Or when the winds blows of dancing evermore,

Standing On A Moorland Tor

To stand on a hill top,

A moorland tor,

Over looking the land,

Feeling the wind on a face and on the hands,

A heart that is beating,

In time with a second hand,

Face warmed by the rays of the sun,

From high in the sky,

The day passes by,

Without a care in the world,

As the sun starts to lower,

To hide behind the hills and the clouds,

As the sky gets darker,

Night sets in in,

As the moon starts to rise,

With a lunar dim.....

Memories in a Bottle

Memories captured in a bottle,

Corked and left on a shelf,

Time long ago,

A different self,

A life a go,

How one changed,

Following a new path,

Chasing a dream,

Walking on blades of green,

Counting every one,

Scorched a bridge,

Over the stream,

A rainbows arch,

To pastures green,

To bask in the sun,

And day dream......

Star Gazing

To look at the stars,

In the middle of the night,

Way up high shining bright,

To join them with an invisible line,

Looking at the signs,

To predict your future,

Hoping the predictions are kind,

To guide your way,

Knowing that it depends on your birthday,

A time and a place,

With planets rising,

As time goes forward,

Age advances,

With a future unknown,

Drawing lines,

Trusting signs,

The River Bank

River Bank of The Dart

 

To stroll on the banks of the river Dart,

Following the flow from where it starts,

To trample on the sodden ground,

Some luscious green another of muddy brown,

To follow the meandering flow to the estuary's mouth,

Where the river meets the sea,

Over looked by a castle on a hill,

That sentry fort of long ago, 

The POEM

A poet of verse,

Sentences to be read,

A creation of words,

Born in the head,

Emotions described,

In a way,

Connects to a soul,

In a special way,

Romance or loss,

Heart break and love,

Unites everyone,

In a special way,

Day by day,

A year goes by,

That special poem,

Will survive,

To take a memory,

To a time and place,

From where we have come,

To what we have become.....

Standing On The Seashore

Standing on the seashore,

Grains of sand,

Between the toes,

Looking at the horizon,

Growing old,

Grains washed away,

By the tides everyday,

Morning glory,

A warming sun,

Another story,

Has just begun,

At the days end,

The moon arrives,

Size dictated by the tides,

The stars do shine,

To guide the way,

The seasons come,

The season go,

Everyday growing old,

Until that day, 

When those foot prints,

Get washed away......
