A thousand love songs could never express how I feel right now,
The emptiness inside my chest,
My body caving in as my body compresses,
Hope and faith keeping me breathing as the day begins,
My heart sings to its own beat,
In rhythm with the defeat,
Pumping to stay alive,
To pursue to survive.
